1-Wire Temperature Control

1-Wire Temperature Control

This free project was designed to measure and control temperature in the range of - 55°C to +125°C with 0.1°C interface application - initial viewaccuracy. It is based on the popular PIC16F628A microcontroller of Microchip. The microcontroller uses the 1-Wire protocol ( sometimes known as a MicroLAN ) to communicate with a DS18B20 digital thermometer and a DS2405 addressable switch. The 1-Wire bus requires only one data line (and ground) for communication with a central microprocessor .

Temperature Logger

Temperature Logger

These pages describe the complete design of a temperature logger. Over 100 of these loggers have been built. 3 by the author, the rest by people that have stumbled across this site. (There may well be more: the zip download averages three a day; these pages have been up since July 1999.)

Microchip PIC

Microchip PIC

This website provides you helpful information about Microchip PIC 8 Bit RISC microcontrollers. Several assembler source code listings are available for non-commercial use. There are also tools for using your PC for measuring or regulating electronic applications. I'am working on several projects, e.g. a precision digital altimeter to use in my radio controlled airplanes.

PIC Project by Myke Predko

PIC Project #1 by Myke Predko:

"The application itself consists of the 16F84 PICMicro (with power, reset and clocking 'core') with two LEDs and a button. One of the LEDs is lit by the PICMicro while the other is lit when the button is pressed. "
